Ella was trapped under a misguided spell of obedience given to her at birth. She had to do anything and everything she was told.

When her father remarried, Ella gained two horrid step sisters, Hattie and Olive. She struggled to keep her curse hidden and went on a journey to find the fairy who put the spell on her.

Guided by a talking book, Ella befriended a feisty Elf, fought Ogres, met a Prince and challanged a kingdom on the adventure of an obedient lifetime.
