Clue Poster COVER PHOTO.jpg

Escapees Theatre Company will be presenting CLUE on stage in agreement with

Origin Theatrical at the Drum Theatre, Dandenong in May 2023.

On a dark and stormy night, six unique guests, plus a butler and a maid, assemble for a dinner party at the home of Mr. Boddy. When their host turns up dead, it is clear that no one is safe! Soon the guests are racing to find the killer and keep the body count from stacking up.

Based on the popular board game and adapted from the cult classic film, Clue is the comedy whodunit that will keep you guessing (and laughing) to the very end.

We are a not-for-profit, unique, innovative and hard-working theatre company based in the South East of Melbourne who have predominantly created theatre performances, both original and re-imaginations, since 2007. We are an inclusive group with a flair for the dramatic and a deep appreciation of a good pair of jazz hands. We entertain our community through theatre and strive to make the arts available to all.

The Escapees Theatre Company prides itself on being an inclusive space for people of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, identities, genders and people who are neurodiverse. We acknowledge for many individuals, gender identity and presentation is a vast spectrum. If you are wanting to audition for a role that you may believe to be traditionally played by a set gender or appearance please don’t be hesitant in your audition choice as we are open to all possibilities within our licensing rights. We also welcome people of all levels of experience.

Auditionees are required to do a cold read of select pages of the character/s they are auditioning for, these audition pages will be provided to you prior to your audition.

Auditionees are also required to present a short, 60 second monologue in the style of the show.

The company prides itself on casting on auditionee merit, and as such have included the third party panellist as a way to demonstrate our full transparency in the process.
